Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra surfaces on Geekbench with ROG Phone 8 Pro specs
There are 2 versions of the new top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor out there: one with 3 clusters of ARM cores with a top speed of 3.19GHz, and one with the updated 4-cluster layout in which the single fastest core goes up to 3.3GHz.
Some SKUs of Asus' new flagship smartphone range are saddled with the 'slower' 8 Gen 3, according to Geekbench, at least. However, there are others with the with the new, 'faster' 2+2+3+1 layout, such as the "ASUS_AI2401_D", or ROG Phone 8 Pro - and the ASUS_AI2401_H, or Zenfone 11 Ultra.
Therein lies some comfort for fans of the Zenfone 10's design: the 11 Ultra that reportedly heralds its demise by adopting a 'non-gamer' version of Asus' latest, most laptop-inspired smartphone form-factor on its launch might make up for that by allegedly packing the full-fat version of the 8 Gen 3.
Then again, the "8 Pro" (or "Ultimate" after all, perhaps?) on Geekbench has 24GB of RAM, whereas the "11 Ultra" has 16GB.
