Updated | Honor Magic6 RSR Porsche Design rumoured to be joining Magic6 Pro and Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design at MWC 2024
Update - 02/16/2024
Honor has since outlined privately that it has not provided the confirmation to GSMArena that claimed to have received.
Original article continues as follows:
GSMArena reports that Honor has started teasing a new version of the Magic6 Pro, a smartphone that made its Chinese debut last November. By contrast, the smartphone is due to arrive until later this month globally during MWC 2024, allegedly for €1,299.90 in the Eurozone and £1,099.99 in the UK. Nonetheless, GSMArena claims to have received official confirmation that Honor will also use MWC 2024 to present the Magic6 RSR Porsche Design:
Honor will launch [sic] Magic6 RSR Porsche Design at MWC 2024, the company revealed in a press release.
However, the website clarifies that this model 'wasn't a model mentioned in the full message'. Instead, it seems that GSMArena has inferred the above from recent leaks and a recent Honor press release, in which the company stated the following:
Ahead of Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, HONOR has confirmed that it is to launch another new smartphone, co-created with Porsche Design, in addition to the Porsche Design HONOR Magic V2 RSR coming to Global markets.
For context, Honor announced the Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design last month in China before confirming eventual global availability a few weeks later. Additionally, several sources have claimed that a Porsche Design edition of the Magic6 Pro is on its way. The existence of such a device still remains a rumour for now, though. Unfortunately, it appears that GSMArena has re-used the photo above, which Honor published in December, rather than bringing anything new to the table.
