Nothing Phone (2a) pricing and memory configurations leak for future Google Pixel 8a rival
Leaker @billbil_kun claims to have obtained launch pricing for the Phone (2a), an upcoming smartphone that Nothing describes as a 'clear upgrade' over the Phone (1) (curr. $345 on Amazon). While Nothing hinted at the release of the Phone (2a) on February 27, it now seems that the company intends to wait until March 5, instead. Thus, the company may well use MWC 2024 to unveil some Phone (2a) elements.
In the meantime, @billbil_kun states that Nothing will sell the Phone (2a) as four SKUs. For context, @billbil_kun accurately reported that the Phone (2) would retail for €729 and €849 with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage, respectively. However, the leaker incorrectly asserted that there would be no 128 GB option, which Nothing eventually revealed for €679 in the Eurozone and $599 in the US.
At any rate, the Phone (2a) is rumoured to start at €349 with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage in black and white colour options. Also, there will be 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage options for €399, again in black and white finishes. In other words, the Phone (2a) will be €120 cheaper than the Phone (1) was at launch or €150 for 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage variants. By contrast, a €330 gap will exist between the Phone (2) and Phone (2a). Currently, the Phone (2a) is rumoured to feature a Dimensity 7200 chipset and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, among other mid-range hardware.
