Nothing Phone (2a) released through own website with limited-time AI offer

The Phone (2a) is Nothing's first device for the ~$500 or less tier of the Android smartphone market. It has started at €329 with 8GB of RAM (and a slightly underwhelming 128GB of internal storage) via channels such as Amazon in Europe since its recent launch. Now, it is also available online on nothing.tech. 

The Dimensity 7200 Pro-powered mid-ranger is only available in the US as a Developer Program Members' edition for $349 in its Black or Milk (white) colorways. This version can also now be ordered directly from Nothing.

Nothing has marked the official first-party release of its inaugural non-flagship smartphone with the special offer of year-long access to the Pro version of Perplexity, "an AI answer engine platform" touted by the Carl Pei-led company to "cut through the noise of information overload and streamline daily interactions".

The subscription is valued at $200, and is offered to all customers who order a new Phone (2a) from Nothing until March 19, 2024.
