Embedded below is the teaser image recently published by Honor, officially confirming that the global launch of the Magic6 series will be announced at the Mobile World Congress on February 25. The Honor Magic V2 will also be presented there, but the folding flagship is already available in countries such as Germany.
The Honor Magic6 and Magic6 Pro were presented not long ago in China in mid-January. The flagships have some interesting features, especially the top model in the series. In addition to a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.3 inch sensor, OIS and variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/2.0, the Magic6 Pro also has a 50 MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle camera and, above all, a 180 MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom - a novelty in the smartphone market.
The selfie camera is also a special feature, as Honor has added a depth sensor to the 50 MP f/2.0 camera to ensure reliable 3D facial recognition. Even the front camera can record 4K videos. The 6.8-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display manages a remarkable peak brightness of 5000 nits and a resolution of 2800 x 1280.
At 5600 mAh, the battery is larger than that of most competitors and can be charged either via USB-C with up to 80 watts or wirelessly with a maximum of 66 watts. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, WiFi 7 and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display are standard features. The Magic6 Pro costs the equivalent of around $790 in China, while the Magic6 with a simpler 32 MP telephoto camera is available from EUR 535 ($580). Further information about the two smartphones can be found in this article.
