Doogee now has new rugged smartphone, the S41 Plus, on offer via Amazon. The model is not sold directly by Amazon, but via a third-party retailer. However, shipping is handled by the shipping giant and thus likely to be particularly fast. The current asking price is just under $180.
The smartphone is equipped with a Unisoc Tiger T606, which is not the fastest SoC - Doogee is aiming more at users who are looking for a second phone for use in the outdoors or in dirty environments. The RAM measures 4 GB, which is also not particularly good. The screen is relatively compact at 5.5 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1440.
As a rugged smartphone with IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications, the model should not suffer any damage if it falls into water, for example, and it should be easy to use in dusty environments. The smartphone comes with the typical plastic casing for rugged devices, which should be able to withstand drops without permanent damage, such as in the form of a cracked casing.
The use of two SIM cards is supported, but only on 4G networks. At 16.2 millimeters, the smartphone is not particularly slim and, at 262 grams, not very light either, although it does have a fairly generously sized battery of 6300 mAh. Android 13 is installed. The Sony IMX278 sensor of the main camera has a resolution of 13 MP.
