Doogee S punk: Rugged smartphone with powerful speakers, configurable LEDs and 10800 mAh battery
Doogee will soon be offering a new smartphone with a unique selling point in the form of a large speaker on the back. It is clearly noticeable and visually dominates the back. The maximum output power is specified as 4 watts, and according to the manufacturer, the speaker can emit a maximum of 126 dB. LEDs are installed under the speaker. These are intended to serve a practical purpose, as they can display different types of notifications with different colors.
The smartphone comes with a generously sized 10,800 mAh battery, which can be charged with a power of up to 33 watts. In terms of the SoC, the smartphone does not flex its muscles: It only comes with a Unisoc Tiger T606. This is significantly limited in terms of performance - and is not 5G compatible. Nevertheless, numerous LTE bands are supported, including those relevant in Europe. Operation with two SIM cards is supported - however, it is not possible to expand the 256 gigabytes of internal memory. The working memory is 6 gigabytes.
The 6.58-inch screen offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This is not a particularly high value, but it is higher than the 60 Hz standard. The smartphone has a housing that is at least partially made of metal. IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications are advertised.
The latest operating system Android 14 is used. The smartphone is set to go on sale on June 30. A placeholder price is apparently still being displayed at the moment - and not all specifications are currently available in detail.
