HMD View leaks as a compact mid-range smartphone with metal frame and OLED display
HMD Global has already confirmed that new smartphones will be announced in July. Leaks point in particular to the so-called HMD Skyline, which will take up the design of past Nokia Lumia smartphones and combine it with a 108-megapixel main camera. The leaker @smashx_60 has now revealed another mid-range smartphone from HMD Global.
The so-called HMD View is a mid-range phone with a metal frame that features a relatively inconspicuous design with a slightly rounded frame, a fingerprint sensor in the power button, and a rectangular camera module with two lenses and LED flash. The smartphone will be available in the colors "Meteor Black", "Ice" and "Velvet".
The HMD View is said to be a successor to the Nokia X30 (approx. 340 euros on Amazon), as the HMD View is similarly compact with a screen diagonal of 6.4 inches, at least compared to most of its competitors from today's smartphone market. The mid-range smartphone is said to have an OLED display with 1080p+ resolution, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 4,700 mAh battery battery.
The model is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 - a new 6 nm ARM chip, which only has two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with clock frequencies of up to 2.3 GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz. At least one version of the HMD View is also equipped with 8 GB of RAM. No details on the price or launch date of the mid-range smartphone are yet known.
