The Phone (2a) (curr. $418.90 on Amazon) remains Nothing's cheapest smartphone for the time being. However, the CMF Phone 1 is on the horizon. While launch pricing is one element that Nothing has not revealed yet, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to retail for less than the Phone (2a) when it arrives on July 8.
In the meantime, more details about the device have leaked online, some of which from Yogesh Brar and others from a few Geekbench listings. For reference, Nothing has already confirmed that the CMF Phone 1 will utilise the Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chipset that MediaTek equips with ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A78 CPU cores, plus a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. Based on the Geekbench numbers below, the CMF Phone 1 performs about as well as the Phone (2a) and Samsung's Exynos 1380-powered Galaxy A35.
Moreover, the few Geekbench listings show that Nothing has created 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM variants, although there is no guarantee that it will release both RAM options globally. Meanwhile, Yogesh Brar briefly showed an image of the CMF Phone 1, which has been reproduced by the likes of GSMArena. Not only does the image reiterate earlier leaks, but also reveals that the CMF Phone 1 somewhat resembles the Google Pixel 8a from the front, albeit with thinner bezels. Please see the images below for more details.
