Little under a week before Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (and a bunch of other products) at Galaxy Unpacked, leaker Evan Blass has, once again, ruined Samsung's surprise by showing off the foldable's entire spec sheet. Unlike the previous one, this also shows off some new features we can expect to see with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Samsung is advertising the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as a gaming smartphone. It claims the phone's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy has a 18% faster CPU and 19% faster GPU compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Plus, its display can go high as 2,600 nits (with Vision Booster and High Brightness Mode activated) on both the cover and primary screens.
Next up, Samsung says you can use the Galaxy Z Fold 6 as an interpreter via its real-time translation feature. One screen shows the source language and the other translated text. You'll need to log in with your Samsung account for this to work and download additional language packs if necessary. Then there's Google's Circle to Search, a feature currently limited to a handful of Pixel and Galaxy phones.
There also a new feature called Samsung Notes Assist that harnesses the power of AI to transcribe or summarize voice recordings. Google Recorder can already do the former, but the latter is a nice addition for longer audio recordings, which are currently capped at 3 hours apiece. This, too, will require you to sign in with a Samsung account. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 uses AI for better, noise-free zoom via Samsung's ProVisual engine.
The listing also confirms the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be Samsung's lightest foldable yet, weighing just 239 grams. It isnt as light as the Vivo X Fold 3 (219 g), but its a drastic improvement over the Galaxy Z Fold 5 (263 g). Furthermore, Samsung achieves this even with a larger 6.3-inch cover display (vs. 6.2 on the last-gen model). Of course, all of this has to come at the expense of battery capacity, which stays the same at 4,400 mAh.
