One of the most exciting alternative products to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will come from Xiaomi this year. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the Xiaomi Mix Flip should offer a similar performance to Samsung's new foldable but thanks to telephoto should fill a gap in the flip phone market - most foldable phones currently only offer a main and ultra-wide angle cameras.
The fact that Xiaomi will launch the Mix Flip in July has already been officially confirmed, and now, the images showing the Xiaomi foldable from all sides can be seen for the first time. They were discovered at the certification authority NCC. The model number is 2405CPX3DG, which means that the global version will also be launched in Europe. The images below confirm that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will have a more rounded design compared to the Galaxy Z Flip6, with a dual cam on the back.
Battery, accessories, and 67W fast charging
The cover display is unfortunately not visible in these pictures, but a punch-hole camera is present at the top center of the flex display on the inside. The images also confirm the battery capacity (1145mAh+3595mAh=4740mAh rated capacity) and show the 67-watt charger that will be included with the Xiaomi phone. It is not yet known when the China launch will actually take place, and Xiaomi has also not yet commented on the global launch date.
Leaker names Mix Flip as de facto "best foldable phone"
According to Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be the best small foldable on the market. According to a recent post by a blogger on the Chinese network Weibo (see also machine translation below), it should solve all the weaknesses of the form factor, for example in terms of performance, display specifications, and camera. Of course, it remains to be seen how good it will really be, but it certainly appears to be a strong competitor for Samsung.
