Qualcomm has announced that the freshly-launched Galaxy Z Fold6 flagship Android smartphone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC regardless of where it is sold, as does its clamshell counterpart the Galaxy Z Flip6. The devices are also the world's first foldable devices with Galaxy AI out of the box, which confers features such as Google Circle to Search and Photo Assist on the handsets.

Qualcomm has chimed in to the major Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event of today (July 10, 2025) in order to dispel any lingering regional 'Exynos anxiety' by confirming that the 2 updated foldable devices unleashed today will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC worldwide.

Accordingly, not only can a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 or Flip6 buyer rest assured that they will be getting the fastest version of the 8 Gen 3 out there, they can also get going with Galaxy AI for Samsung foldables right away.

They are slated to leverage the greater screen real estate of the Z Fold6 for its versions of Live Translate, Note Assist and Transcript Assist. Alternatively, one can pack the latest version of Nightography in the most compact package possible with the Flip6, or combine Auto Zoom with the clamshell's FlexCam use-case for supposedly AI-perfected selfies.

Both new flagships can also use features such as Sketch to Image and Circle to Search by Google, although they might be most effective on the Z Fold6 with the S Pen that remains an optional, detached accessory even in the premium device's 6th generation.

To that end, you might need a case with an inbuilt stylus slot from Amazon to go with your pre-order.
