Samsung has now confirmed the Galaxy AI features that it has baked into One UI 6.1 for non-Galaxy S24 series handsets. To recap, Samsung outlined in late February that the OS update would reach nine devices, including the Galaxy S23 FE. Subsequently, sources claimed at the start of the week that this rollout would begin on March 28, which Samsung then duly confirmed itself.
For some reason, its US press release failed to mention Galaxy AI, one of the defining features between One UI 6.0 and One UI 6.1. However, the company has revealed the ported Galaxy AI feature set in its German language equivalent. In summary, One UI 6.1 builds for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Z5 series will contain the following Galaxy AI features:
- Browsing Assistant
- Circle to Search
- Generative Editing
- Instant Slow-Mo
- Live Translation
- Notes Assistant
- Transcription Assistant
Samsung clarifies that all but Instant Slow-Mo is available on the Galaxy S23 FE. Additionally, Notes Assistant will only work within the Samsung Notes app. Likewise, it has limited its browsing and transcription assistants to the Samsung Internet and Samsung Voice Recorder apps, respectively. For reference, One UI 6.1 is arriving on Galaxy S23 series devices with the build number S91xBXXU3CXCF.
