Xiaomi may have debuted the Redmi Note 13 series in China last year, but it took until mid-January for the devices to be available globally. Shortly afterwards, the company refreshed the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, albeit only in China. Released as part of Xiaomi's Chinese New Year celebrations, the Redmi Note 13 Pro New Year Edition only differed from the regular Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G with its 'Good Luck Red' colourway.
Similarly, Xiaomi has now presented a new version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. However, the Xiaomi Fan Festival Special Edition is orderable globally, unlike other recent mid-generation refreshes. Hardware-wise, the Xiaomi Fan Festival Special Edition is identical to the regular Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. Thus, the former contains the following specifications:
- 6.67-inch AMOLED display, 2,712 x 1,220 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate
- MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset
- 5,000 mAh battery, 120 W wired charging
- 200 MP primary, 16 MP front-facing, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro cameras
With that being said, Xiaomi is offering the Fan Festival Special Edition in a limited colourway at attractive pricing. Specifically, the Xiaomi Fan Festival Special Edition comes in 'Mystic Silver', with which Xiaomi has added a Fan Festival logo. Moreover, the company is selling the handset for £379/€400.90 with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, down from £449 and €499.90, respectively.
Please note that you must pay a £1/€1 deposit by April 1 at 23:59 in the UK and April 2 at 09:59 in the Eurozone to become eligible for the handset's reduced pricing. Following that, the company will open a window to pay the remaining balance, full details of which you can find on its website.
