Xiaomi has already released one Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered smartphone, which it sells in China as the CIVI 4 Pro. For reference, it seems that the company may only bring this device to India and not to other markets outside China. However, the company has confirmed that it has developed a second device featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 that is expected to make its way to North America, Europe and other markets.
Currently, this device is thought of as the POCO F6. By contrast, Xiaomi has already revealed that its second Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 device will launch in China under a new Redmi series. Reportedly, this device will actually arrive in China as the Redmi Note 13 Turbo though, for which there would be a direct predecessor.
At any rate, alleged specifications for the Redmi Note 13 Turbo and POCO F6 have now surfaced online, courtesy of renowned Weibo leakers. Like the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is rumoured to contain a 1220p display and 5,000 mAh battery. With that being said, the latter is said to support up to 90 W wired charging, 30 W down on the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G but 23 W faster than the POCO F5.
Other specifications include a Sony IMX882 primary camera that outputs at 50 MP and is also available in devices like the OnePlus Ace 3V. On top of that, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo is said to offer a 20 MP front-facing camera; a release date remains unknown for now, though. In comparison, the POCO F6 is anticipated to launch in July 2024.
