Redmi Note 14 Pro tipped to launch with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC
So far, the only information we have about the Redmi Note 14 Pro is about its camera layout and screen. Like many phones released in China recently, it will launch with a 50 MP primary camera sensor and a 1.5K screen. Popular Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station (H/T @faridofanani96) has now confirmed its SoC.
Predictably, the Redmi Note 13 Pro will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, much like its predecessor, which debuted with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. The upgraded SoC should give it an advantage over the Realme 13 Pro+ that will stick with the 7s Gen 2. However, the Realme phone is tipped to come with a telephoto lens while the Redmi Note 14 Pro will not.
A recent Geekbench listing showed off Qualcomm's upcoming mid-ranger, which outperformed its last-gen counterpart by about 15%, presumably due to its tri-cluster CPU (1+3+4) spearheaded by an Arm Cortex-A720 core. It will come with an Adreno 810 GPU. Currently, there's no indication about when the Redmi Note 14 Pro will launch, but if previous release cycles are anything to go by, we can expect it to land sometime in mid-to-late September.
