Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Geekbench listing reveals 15% performance uplift over Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
Qualcomm's newest mid-range SoC, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, has just shown up on Geekbench. For those out of the loop, any SKU with an 's' in its name is a lower performing part compared to its non-s/plus counterpart. In Geekench 6.3's single and multi-core tests, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 scores 1,157 and 3,157, respectively.
This score puts it on par with the regular Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (1,147/3,129). Compared to its last-gen counterpart, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (998/2,813), the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 offers a 15% single-core and 12% multi-core performance uplift. It may not be anything to write home about, but that is to be expected from mid-range silicon.
As far as the actual Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 specs go, you get a tri-cluster CPU with the prime core clocked at 2.5 GHz, three performance cores at 2.4 GHz and four efficiency cores at 1.8 GHz. The performance cores are said to be Arm's Cortex-A720. For the GPU, it uses an Adreno 810 clocked at 480 MHz. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 powered the popular Redmi Note 13 Pro, so it is reasonable to assume the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 will do the same with its successor, the Redmi Note 14 Pro.
