Xiaomi Mix Flip 2: Stylish and powerful Leica camera flip phone revealed in press images and teaser video
The official Weibo profile has been buzzing this morning. Two days before the official Xiaomi mega event, where at least nine new products are expected and which will be streamed globally, the Chinese company has just revealed the design and color palette of the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2. The successor to the first Xiaomi flip phone from last year will be launched (in China) in four colors, namely gold, silver and two vibrant shades of purple and green.

The golden model also appears again in a separate Weibo post in many high-quality press photos, although not too much has changed visually compared to the predecessor. There are still two Leica cameras and a 4.01-inch cover display on the outside. The Leica lettering names a Vario-Summilux lens with F/1.17 to F/2.2 aperture and a focal length range of 14-23 mm equivalent, confirming a change in the cameras. While the Xiaomi Mix Flip was equipped with a 23 mm main camera and a 47 mm telephoto lens, there is now a 14 mm ultra-wide angle instead of the latter. This makes perfect sense, especially since the 50 MP main sensor is also capable of 2x zoom in acceptable quality thanks to crop zoom.
Xiaomi and leakers reveal further specs
Xiaomi highlights that a new hinge has been installed and the battery capacity increased from 4,780 mAh to 5,165 mAh. The thickness of the flip phone's housing also appears to have been reduced from 7.6 mm to 7.57 mm and the weight is now 199 grams. According to Digital Chat Station, the fold crease on the inside is barely noticeable and the Mix Flip 2 is extremely powerful thanks to the integrated Snapdragon 8 Elite. A potential alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, which is now reportedly equipped with the Exynos 2500 worldwide.
