The first official press images of the Galaxy Z Flip7 were leaked last week, and now reliable leaker Evan Blass has published photos showing the smartphone from all sides and in three colors. Previously, the foldable was only glimpsed in the colors Blue Shadow and Jet Black, but the new images now reveal Coral Red for the first time.
Apart from the new colors, there are two significant design changes compared to the Galaxy Z Flip6. Firstly, the secondary display is significantly larger with a diagonal of 4 inches. It now takes up almost the entire surface of the upper half of the back, with the exception of the two cameras, which are located in two punch holes in this display. It is unclear whether full-fledged Android apps will finally be able to run on this display.
Secondly, the Galaxy Z Flip7 will be slightly thinner. As the comparison image embedded below shows, the difference is not dramatic. We measured the images and determined that the Galaxy Z Flip7 is around 6% thinner when unfolded, so the device should be between 6.4 and 6.5 millimeters thick instead of the 6.9 millimeters of the previous model. The Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to receive an upgrade to the brand new Samsung Exynos 2500 and a slightly larger 4,174 mAh battery, otherwise rumors suggest that only a few new features are to be expected.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 FE bears a striking resemblance to the Galaxy Z Flip6 and is rumored to be powered by either the Exynos 2400e or the Exynos 2500. Otherwise, it uses outdated specs, including a 12 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, a 10 MP selfie camera and a 3,700 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE are scheduled to be officially unveiled on July 9.
