There has been speculation about it for weeks and now it is finally set in stone. Not yet official, but almost, because the date recently posted on X by Evan Blass, one of the most well-known and reliable leakers, appears to be final. On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, Samsung will take the stage in New York City to announce its new foldables and wearables for 2025 starting at 10:00 a.m. EDT.
Tough competition for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7
The next few weeks will be exciting for foldable fans. Following the launch of the Vivo X Fold 5 on June 25, 2025, it has recently been confirmed that Honor will also launch on June 25, 2025, it has recently been confirmed that Honor will also launch the Magic V5 before the Galaxy Z Fold 7 on July 2, 2025. Exactly one week later, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7, the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and the Galaxy Watch 8 series, including the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
The main focus, however, is likely to be on Samsung's new foldable tablet, which has been the subject of teasers for weeks and is likely to represent a major leap in case thickness. But rival brands are not sleeping either, with Honor in particular aiming to once again offer the world's thinnest and most powerful foldable in 2025, as the CEO just recently highlighted at a press conference. Vivo, on the other hand, is focusing on features such as the camera, better integration of Apple devices and durability in everyday use, but here too the case thickness and weight have been further reduced.
