Govee releases new Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2

The Govee Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2 have been released in Europe. They build on the older Govee RGBIC S14 Bulb String Lights, with improved brightness and a wider range of modes.

The Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2 are 15 m (~48 ft) long, with 15 LEDs. According to Govee, the brightness of this upgraded model is 30% higher than its predecessor. Each dimmable RGBW bulb is said to deliver 65 lumens of warm white light. Through the Govee Home app, you can choose from over 100 preset dynamic lighting scenes, ten of which can sync to music, or create your own in DIY Mode. There is also an AI tool which can generate a lighting scene to suit your mood or occasion. 

Users can also remotely control Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2 smart lights with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. Plus, Matter compatibility, another enhancement, allows them to integrate with a wide range of smart home ecosystems. They support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Plus, the lights are said to be waterproof, with an IP66 dust and water resistance rating. Each light source should last for around 25,000 hours, and the lights operate in temperatures between -20°C and 40°C (~-4°F and 104°F).

In countries like the UK, the Netherlands and Spain, you can now buy the Govee Smart Outdoor S14 Bulb String Lights 2 for £69.99/€69.99. That makes them £10/€10 more expensive than the original model. It is unclear when this new smart lighting solution will be released in the US, where the older version retails for $59.99.
