New Govee Light Wall for indoor and outdoor use on the way
A new Govee smart home product has appeared in the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database: the Light Wall. The CSA is the body responsible for maintaining protocols like Zigbee and Matter. The database listing states that this unreleased Govee product is Matter 1.2 certified.
According to the CSA product page, the Govee Light Wall can be used on an “outdoor courtyard” or an “indoor stage”. It is designed to offer dynamic lighting effects, with remote controls via the Govee Home app. Plus, it will support both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and support for the Matter standard means that it will integrate with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
The unreleased Govee Light Wall is listed as model H70B8. This suggests that it is a net of smart lights like the Govee Curtain Lights 2, which is available in three sizes with model numbers H70B3, H70B4 and H70B5. Features of this older smart lighting product include AI-generated lighting effects, GIF displays and over 200 scene modes. At the time of writing, it is unclear how the Govee Light Wall will differ from the Curtain Lights 2.
Govee has yet to confirm when the Light Wall will be released, or how much it will cost. It could have a similar RRP to the older Govee Curtain Lights 2, which start from $149.99 at Amazon.
