The GoveeLife Smart Air Purifier 2 has been released in Europe. Already available in the US, it arrived as an upgraded version of the brand’s original Smart Air Purifier.
The main difference between the Smart Air Purifier 2 and its predecessor is the addition of a PM2.5 sensor. This can detect the level of particles like soot or other combustion emissions and fine dust. In Auto Mode, the purifier can use this sensor to intelligently adjust the purification level. Otherwise, these two models have similar features.
Govee’s Smart Air Purifier 2 is designed for an area of up to 1,046 ft² (~97 m²). The device’s H13 level HEPA filter is said to have a 99.97% filtration efficiency for air particles measuring 0.1 to 0.3 μm, and up to 135 cfm CADR rating. As well as Auto Mode, there is a Turbo Mode for faster purification, and a Sleep mode for less than 24 dB noise. Another feature is integrated RGB lighting, which can indicate the air quality or act as a mood light in the color of your choice. As with other Govee products, it can be remotely controlled via the Govee Home app, where you can switch it on or off, change the light’s color and view air quality metrics in real time. Plus, it is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
You can now buy the GoveeLife Smart Air Purifier 2 in Europe for £129.99/€159.99. A bundle of the air purifier and a replacement HEPA filter is also available for £154.98/€186.98; there is no discount here, with the replacement filter priced at £24.99/€26.99. As a reminder, the GoveeLife Smart Air Purifier 2 retails for $99.99 in the US, though it is currently available at Amazon for $79.99.
