Dreame has announced the AP10 air purifier. The name already makes its purpose pretty clear, as the AP10 is supposed to filter the air in your home and improve air quality. It includes a special container for collecting hair that can be easily emptied. How much pet hair is actually collected probably depends on the size of the room and whether pets usually stay near the purifier.
Anyhow, Dreame includes a special pad on top to encourage cats to sit there. The power cable is braided and should deter pets from chewing on it. If the air purifier tips over, it shuts off automatically, but the round shape helps keep it stable. However, a built-in laser pointer moves randomly and might pose a risk if pets coincidentally look into it. An ambient light feature is also included.
Also removes formaldehyde
The gadget measures about 22.1 x 14.6 x 14.6 inches and has a CADR of 430 m³/h for fine dust and 200 m³/h for formaldehyde. The filtration system uses five stages in order to remove 99% of odors and bacteria. It includes a cotton filter, fine dust filter and two layers of activated carbon. After that, a UV-C light treatment follows while an ionization module breaks down odors using charged particles. The Dreame AP10 will launch on November 14.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology. I worked for Tom’s Hardware and ComputerBase, among others, and have been working for Notebookcheck since 2017. My current focus is particularly on mini PCs and single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi – so in other words, compact systems with a lot of potential. In addition, I have a soft spot for all kinds of wearables, especially smartwatches. My main profession is as a laboratory engineer, which is why neither scientific contexts nor the interpretation of complex measurements are foreign to me.

My fascination for technology goes back a long way to the Pentium II era. Modding, overclocking and treasuring computer hardware has since become an integral part of my life. As a student, I further developed a keen interest in mobile technologies that can make the stressful college life so much easier. After I fell in love with the creation of digital content while working in a marketing position, I now scour the web to bring you the most exciting topics in the world of tech. Outside the office, I’m particularly passionate about motorsports and mountain biking.
