New Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Vertical arrives

Xiaomi has launched the new Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Vertical 2 HP in China. This smart home device is said to deliver next-level energy efficiency, compared to the brand’s older models.

According to the Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving model’s product page, it has a large air circulation volume of 1,480 m³/h (~52,265 ft³/h). It is also said to have up to 13 m (~43 ft) range, with a 181 mm (~7.1 inches) wide air outlet width and an up to 115° air supply angle. Xiaomi suggests that it can cool rapidly, with users feeling the effects in as little as 40 seconds. Plus, it can heat your home quickly with up to 2,100 W heating power, delivering heating in 80 seconds. The temperature range is adjustable between -32 and 60°C (~-26 and 140°F).

As the name suggests, this Mijia Air Conditioner has a Level 1 energy efficiency rating in China, with a 4.85 APF index. It offers a self-cleaning mode, with higher temperature drying, with an operating volume of between 38 and 42 dBA. The integrated display shows the temperature and mode, with remote controls available via the Mijia app. It can be connected to other smart home products and is expected to receive OTA updates, with support for HyperOS Connect. The internal unit measures 346 x 1,868 x 434 mm (~13.6 x 73.5 x 1.7) inches.

In China, the new Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving Vertical 2 HP is currently available to pre-order for CNY 3,799 (~$530); it will eventually retail for CNY 4,599 (~$642). This product is unlikely to arrive in Europe, as Xiaomi has yet to release smart air conditioners in this market. However, it sells other cooling devices here, such as the Smart Standing Fan 2 Pro (curr. €129 at Amazon.de).
