The new Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier S1 1200G has arrived in China. Designed for the kitchen, this smart home solution provides filtered water on tap.
The Mijia Water Purifier S1 1200G features an RO filter, said to last for up to five years and remove 99.8% of cadmium, 99.9% of lead and 100% of E. coli. On top of this, Xiaomi’s Zero Stale Water 3.0 technology ensures that the water is always fresh. The kit includes a smart touch faucet, with users able to select from four water volumes. As its name suggests, the tap has a 1,200G or 3.21 L/min throughput, allowing it to fill a 150 ml cup in 2.8 seconds.
The faucet displays the current TDS value and is said to have 10 layers of electroplating to resist corrosion. Users can remotely control the Mijia Water Purifier S1 through the Xiaomi app. Here, you can monitor the water quality, view historical consumption or create a customized cup size. Plus, you can get app notifications to remind you to change the filter.
In China, you can now buy the Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier S1 1200G for CNY 1,999 (~$279). This smart home device is unlikely to reach Europe; however, the company already sells products like the Faucet Water Purifier in countries such as Germany (curr. €29.99 at Xiaomi Germany).
