The Philips Hue app version 5.46 has arrived. The previous update, version 5.45.1, arrived at the end of June 2025. It brought support for several new products, like the Hue Play wall washer light (curr. $219.99 at Amazon), and an optimization for the Amazon Alexa integration for homes with multiple Hue Bridges.
According to the change log for Philips Hue app version 5.46, there are no new features in this update. The release notes state that there are “various bug fixes and stability improvements”. Unfortunately, the company has not provided further details. As such, it is unclear how users will benefit from this latest update.
However, there is an update for users in the UK. As announced a few weeks ago, the new Philips Hue AI assistant is currently rolling out to users in this country. It was first released to users in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg at the start of June 2025, and will reach all users globally by the end of August. Philips Hue app version 5.46 is already available to download from the Apple App Store and is expected to land at the Google Play Store in the near future.
