Philips Hue is rolling out another update for the Hue Bridge. Announced on July 21st 2025, software version 1972076030 is a relatively minor update. It arrives around a month after the last release, version 1972004020, which brought support for some of the brand’s latest products, including the Philips Hue Play wall washer (curr. $219.99 at Amazon).
The change log for software version 1972076030 states that there are minor improvements to the Hue Bridge. While the Philips Hue team has not specified where users will benefit from these changes, they supposedly make the device “work even better”.
As per usual, software version 1972076030 will roll out to Philips Hue Bridge users in phases over the coming days. The firmware should be pushed to eligible devices automatically. If you do not receive the update as expected, check that you have automatic updates enabled in the app by going to Settings > Software update > Automatic update.
Signify, the company behind the Philips Hue brand, has yet to confirm rumors of a new version of the smart home hub. The Hue Bridge v3 is said to be in development, and could have improvements like support for a greater number of connected devices and wireless connectivity. Reports suggest that this latest version of the Hue Bridge will be released later in 2025.
