The Philips Hue Xamento recessed spotlight is now available in a new colorway in some European countries. These smart lights, designed for the bathroom, were released in silver in 2021, with a black version following in 2022. These products were also upgraded in 2024 to feature the brand’s latest GU10 technology.
Now, the Xamento recessed spotlight is available with a white plastic frame. It has identical features to the earlier versions, with a White and color ambiance light source, expected to run for 25,000 hours. It has a 40° beam angle, with a Color Rendering Index (CRI) over 80 and 400 lumens brightness at 4,000 K.
You can remotely control these smart lights in the Philips Hue app, thanks to Bluetooth. Here, you can choose from a wide range of colors or white color temperatures, adjust the brightness or add the lights to a smart scene. Alternatively, you can use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands to adjust the lighting. Each recessed light measures 92 mm (~3.6 inches) across and is rated as IP44 dust and water resistant.
In countries like the Netherlands, France and Germany, you can now buy a single Xamento recessed spotlight for €79.99. A 3-Pack of Xamento recessed spotlights is available for €219.99, a saving of €19.98 compared to buying them separately. They are available at the brand’s online store or at Amazon. Whether or when these products could reach other markets like the US or the UK remains to be seen.
