Philips Hue Xamento recessed spotlight upgraded with new GU10 technology
The Philips Hue Xamento recessed spotlight has been refreshed for the EU market. The original version of the smart light launched in 2021 as a model designed for the bathroom. Now, Philips has brought its latest GU10 technology to the spotlight, as with other products like the Centura recessed spotlight.
The upgraded version of the Xamento is brighter than the original, with up to 350 lumens at 2,700K or 400 lumens at 4,000K. The new GU10 bulb’s power is lower at 4.2W rather than 5.7W, and it is expected to last for 25,000 hours, an almost 70% increase on its predecessor. The dimmable smart light offers white and colored lighting, with over 16 million colors to choose from. Thanks to Bluetooth, you can use app-based controls or voice commands. Plus, you can link a Hue Bridge for more advanced features, such as custom scenes.
As before, customers can choose between single and multipacks, with a black or white synthetic frame around the spotlight. You can now buy the Philips Hue Xamento recessed spotlight in the EU, with a single unit costing €79.99 and a pack of three priced at €219.99; with the multipack, you save €19.98. It is unclear whether this product will also launch in the US or the UK at a later date.
