Xgimi has released two new projectors in the US: the MoGo 4 and the MoGo 4 Laser. These portable models build on earlier projectors like the Xgimi MoGo 3 Pro. Also recently released in Europe, they are designed for projecting on the go, on a camping trip or on a rooftop.
You can now buy the Xgimi MoGo 4 projector at Amazon for $499, while the Xgimi MoGo 4 Laser Projector is priced at $799. A bundle of the Laser projector with the PowerBase stand, a screen, light filters and a carry case is currently available for $899.
The Xgimi MoGo 4 series projectors have a 1080p native resolution, throwing images up to 120 inches wide. You can easily adjust your set-up thanks to the integrated stand, and the image is quickly perfected with automatic keystone correction. The standard Xgimi MoGo 4 is said to offer up to 450 ISO lumens brightness, while the more powerful laser light source is said to deliver up to 550 ISO lumens. The Laser variant is also marketed with 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut and a 1,000:1 native contrast ratio.
Users of the Xgimi MoGo 4 projectors can stream content from a range of apps thanks to the Google TV interface, and there is licensed Netflix support. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1, and there are ports like HDMI (ARC) and USB. The projectors support gesture controls and come with a compact IR remote and a detachable buckle-style lanyard. There are also four magnetic filters for ambient lighting effects: Sunset Ripple, Dreamscape and Lunar.
These are truly portable projectors thanks to an integrated battery for up to 2.5 hours of video playback time in Eco Mode or up to five hours when you add the PowerBase Stand, which has a 20,000mAh battery. There are also two built-in 6W speakers from Harman Kardon, said to deliver a 360° sound experience. Xgimi suggests that the MoGo 4 projectors are around the same size as a coffee cup, measuring 207.6 x 96.5 x 96.5 mm (~8.2 x 3.8 x 3.8 inches) and weighing 1.32 kg (~2.9 lbs). The company also notes that the MoGo 4 projectors are iF Design Award 2025 winners.
