Xgimi's new MoGo 4 series of portable projectors bring significant upgrades and new features. From an integrated battery for true portability to improved speakers and higher brightness levels, the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser are an upgrade over their predecessors.

Xgimi has announced not one but two successors to the MoGo 3 Pro announced last year. The new projectors are the MoGo 4 and the MoGo 4 Laser, and like their predecessor, they are portable projectors powered by Google TV.

The new projectors have a new design but still retain the cylindrical style of the MoGo 3 Pro (available on Amazon for $449.99). However, the main upgrades are under the hood. Unlike the MoGo 3 Pro which doesn't have a built-in battery, the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser both have a 20,000mAh built-in battery. Xgimi says the built-in battery should provide up to 2.5 hours of video playback and last up to 6 hours when the projectors are used as a Bluetooth speaker.

Another new addition is support for magnetic picture filters for special picture effects. Xgimi will ship the MoGo 4 with a single magnetic filter while the MoGo 4 Laser will come with four filters. One complaint of the MoGo 3 Pro is its less-than stellar dual 5W Harman Kardon speakers. The new MoGo 4 projectors come with 2 x 6W Harman Kardon speakers which should provide better audio. However, a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar may be necessary depending on the size of the room or when outdoors.

The MoGo 4 has a 1080p resolution and 450 ISO lumens brightness level. The laser edition is brighter at 550 ISO lumens and has triple lasers. Both projectors have automatic keystone correction, 360° rotation, and an infrared remote control. They also support gesture control for filter selection. Other identical features are Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, and HDMI (with ARC).

Alongside the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser, Xgimi is also offering two accessories for the portable projectors. There's the PowerBase Stand which is a tripod with a 20,000mAh battery capacity that magnetically connects to either projector. There's also a portable outdoor screen that's 70 inches in size and can be easily set up in a few minutes.

The MoGo 4 series is available starting today directly from Xgimi's website and also on Amazon. The MoGo 4 is priced at €599 while the MoGo 4 Laser costs €799. There's also the MoGo 4 + PowerBase bundle for €679 and the MoGo 4 Laser + PowerBase + Outdoor Screen bundle for €949.
