Limited Edition Seiko Prospex SRPL81 Jaws 50th Anniversary watch unveiled

The Seiko Prospex SRPL81 (SBDY137) Jaws 50th Anniversary Limited Edition watch has been revaled for the US, Australia and Japan. The collaboration model will be released in these markets in the near future.

The Prospex SRPL81 is a diving watch powered by the brand’s Caliber 4R36 automatic movement with a 41 hour power reserve. This analog timepiece has a Jaws-inspired design, with a textured sea and a shark outline on the dial. The Jaws logo sits a little below the center, and the boat from the movie, the Orca, is engraved in the case back.

Seiko’s SRPL81 has hour, minute and seconds hands, with Lumibrite hands and hour markers. There is a timer on the rotating bezel, and the weekday and day of the month are also shown on the dial. It has a silver stainless steel casing with a dark blue silicone strap. Other elements include Hardlex glass and a screw down crown. This watch is water resistant to 200 m (~656 ft), and it measures 44.3 x 47.7 x 13.4 mm (~1.7 x 1.9 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 124 g (~0.3 lbs). Plus, this limited edition timepiece comes with Jaws-branded packaging.

The Seiko SRPL81 Jaws 50th Anniversary Limited Edition will be available in the US for $795 and in Australia for A$1,200. In Japan, you will be able to buy the SBDY137 for ¥110,000 (~$564). The watch will launch in these markets in July 2025. The company notes that there are only 5,000 pieces worldwide, 700 of which are for the Japanese markets; it is unclear how many units are earmarked for Australia and the US.
