Ubisoft’s long-running Assassin’s Creed series is one of the pioneers of the third-person action-adventure genre. So, if you are someone who loves this genre of games, the AC series is a must-play, especially since Steam usually offers some deep discounts on the titles.
For example, you can currently buy Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for only $4.99 on Steam. This is a 75% discount which has brought AC Brotherhood to its lowest price ever.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood was released back in 2010, a year filled to the brim with memorable video games like the original Red Dead Redemption, Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Limbo, God of War III, and more gracing the PS3, the Xbox 360, and Windows. Although it was developed and released after just one year following AC II, AC Brotherhood managed to improve upon and enhance almost every aspect of its predecessor.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood takes players to an open-world 16th-century Rome with its winding alleys, cobblestone streets, and interesting historical characters like Machiavelli. Players control Ezio Auditore, an Assassin rebuilding “The Assassin Brotherhood” in Rome. However, the main story revolves around Ezio fighting against Cesare Borgia. While AC games aren’t known for their antagonists, Cesare Borgia is one of the most memorable ones, which makes the main story all the more exciting.
Gameplay-wise, players complete linear quests, including assassinations, using different weapons. Players can also earn and upgrade their weapons and armor. Parkour is also a big part of the AC Brotherhood gameplay, as Rome is filled with buildings to climb, ledges to jump off of, and tiled roofs to traverse.
Finally, the biggest change introduced in the gameplay system of AC Brotherhood is the aptly named “Brotherhood” system. This system allows players to recruit and send different characters on missions. Players can also level up these Assassins and use them during quests.
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood system requirements
Originally released in 2010, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is quite easy to run, even on laptops with integrated graphics. Steam lists the recommended requirements as:
- An Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 or better
- A GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 4700 or newer
- 8 GB of storage space.
So, even if you are rocking a laptop with an entry-level APU like the Core Ultra 5 226V, AC Brotherhood won’t give you any troubles.
