The Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C Full Metal watch will shortly launch in the UK. This product, with a design inspired by the original DW-5000C, was rumored earlier this year and was recently released alongside the GM-B2100SD-1C in Japan.
Casio has now listed the G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C watch at its online store in the UK for £489. The model is currently out of stock, though it is marked as a June 2025 release. A listing at French retailer David et Philly suggests that this Full Metal watch could launch in this country, and possibly more widely in Europe, in mid-July. Here, it is listed with a €549 RRP.
The GMW-B5000D-1C is a radio-controlled (Multiband 6) digital watch with Bluetooth connectivity. The latter allows you to access various settings and tools in the Casio Watches smartphone app. It supports up to five world time zones, with 39 cities on offer, and other features include a 1/100 second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. There is a white LED backlight, and Tough Solar charging and Power Saving mode combine to extend the battery life beyond 22 months.
Casio’s GMW-B5000D-1C watch has a stainless steel casing and strap with red, blue and yellow accents around the display. It measures 49.3 x 43.2 x 13 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches), weighs 167 g (~5.9 oz) and is water resistant to 200 m. It is unclear whether the Casio G-Shock GM-B2100SD-1C will also be released in the UK. The company has also yet to confirm whether either model will launch in the US.
