Full Metal Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C watch now available in the UK

Casio has released the new G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C watch in the UK. The wearable is inspired by the original DW-5000C watch, with similar design features like a brick motif around the digital display and red, yellow and blue accents.

In the UK, the Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C watch is now available for £489. Customers can purchase the product at the brand’s online store, which offers free shipping in two to four business days. The model is already available in Japan and could also launch in Europe in July 2025.

The GMW-B5000D-1C is a full metal watch with a stainless steel casing, bezel and strap with a one-touch, 3-fold clasp. The timepiece measures 49.3 x 43.2 x 13 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 167 g (~5.9 oz). This G-Shock has the brand’s Shock Resistant design and is also water resistant to 200 m. This is a radio-controlled watch (Multiband 6), with Bluetooth connectivity allowing users to access more tools and settings via the Casio Watches app. 

The Casio supports five time zones, with 39 cities to choose from, a power saving mode and low power alerts. Other features include a stopwatch, timer and alarms. Plus, there is an LED backlight and Tough Solar charging to extend the battery life beyond the 10 month estimate. Whether or when the Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1C watch could be released in the US, presumably under model number GMWB5000D-1C, remains to be seen.
