New full metal Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000D-1CJF and GM-B2100SD-1CJF watches now available to buy

Nearly a month after we got a release date confirmation, Casio's recently unveiled full-metal G-Shock models - the GMW-B5000D-1CJF and the GM-B2100SD-1CJF - are now both available for purchase in Japan. They are listed at an online store price of ¥84,700 (tax included), which roughly translates to $588 at the time of writing. 

The GMW-B5000D-1CJF is the newest entry in the 5000 Series, modeled after the original DW-5000C. It has a familiar square case but comes with a full stainless steel exterior, Bluetooth connectivity, Multi-Band 6 radio sync, solar charging, and 20-bar water resistance. It’s essentially a modernized digital rework of the original G-Shock, with the red-black dial frame and blocky display layout.

The GM-B2100SD-1CJF, on the other hand, takes its place in the 2100 Series. Also a full-metal model, this one carries the octagonal bezel design that has become hugely popular in recent years. It features a combination analog-digital display, Bluetooth syncing, Tough Solar, and a screw-lock back. The metallic dial and silver case give it a more formal, almost industrial look compared to the resin-based GA-B2100 models.

Both watches come with mobile link support via the Casio Watches app, automatic time adjustment, and world time settings. Their builds are designed to absorb shock while maintaining a slim silhouette thanks to the internal fine-resin cushioning structure.

These two models are some of the most popular full-metal G-Shocks at this point, and now that they're in stock for the first time, those interested finally have a chance to buy them locally.
