Casio is reportedly readying a new full-metal GM-2100D watch with a sleek gradient dial inspired from the Oceanus Retro Tone Collection. Other details about this upcoming model remain scarce at this point, but we're told the watch could launch sometime in Spring.

Casio’s fan-favorite full-metal G-Shock GM-2110D lineup may soon be getting a fresh new look. According to a new leak from the ever-reliable Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, a brand-new GM-2110D variant is in development, with the upcoming watch reportedly featuring a striking gradient dial inspired by the company’s Oceanus “Retro Tone Collection.”

The GM-2100D series—also known as the “Metal CasiOak” among fans due to its octagonal bezel—is quite popular in the US and European markets, thanks in large part to its versatile design, which offers a clean, elegant look great for both corporate meetings and casual wear. As per the leak, the upcoming GM2110D appears to continue that legacy while dialing up the sophistication with a vintage gradient dial borrowed from the recently released Casio Oceanus Retro Tone Collection. Unfortunately, there are no renders accompanying the leak, so it’s unclear exactly how this new design will come together.

It’s likely that the new model will retain the familiar mix of materials found in the existing models. That means we can expect it to feature a stainless steel case and band wrapped around a resin core and a battery-operated quartz movement. We can also look forward to signature G-Shock toughness, with the new watch likely to retain up to 200 meters of water resistance and shock resistance, all wrapped in its refined all-metal aesthetic.

As for the launch window, we’re told the upcoming GM-2100D model could launch sometime in the Spring, though Casio has yet to confirm anything officially. If and when that happens, we’ll be sure to let you know. Until then, it might be worth holding off on that G-Shock purchase—you could be in for something even more delightful!
