Casio is reportedly adding three new models to its Edifice lineup in Japan, with the introduction of the EFS-S650 series. The new releases - EFS-S650DC-1A, EFS-S650D-2A, and EFS-S650D-3A - feature a key design shift with ceramic insert bezels, which will be a first for the Edifice range.
The lineup comes with a subtle but well-executed dial and bezel variations. The S650DC-1A comes in full black, including a black-coated bracelet and case. The other two - S650D-2A and S650D-3A - feature brushed stainless steel with deep blue and green dial-and-bezel combos respectively. All three watches use Tough Solar charging, and come with sapphire crystals, solid link bracelets, and three-subdial chronograph layouts.
While these watches are nowhere to be found on Casio's global channels, they have started showing up across retailer listings and Japanese Edifice watch catalogs. As shared by a reputed channel @geesgshock on Instagram, the S650DC-1A has an estimated price of around €259, while the silver variants sit closer to €219. Japanese pricing hovers around ¥33,000 for the S650D-2A and S650D-3A.
Each model measures approximately 46.7 x 40.9 x 11.7 mm and weighs about 140g, putting them in the mid-sized chronograph category. Though not packed with smart features, the focus here seems to be more on material upgrades - especially the ceramic bezel and the overall finishing. The brushed steel links and sloped lug transitions are not to be ignored either.
Until we get some concrete info, we should expect limited availability outside Japan unless Casio gives the models a broader release later this year.
