Casio launches new BGD-565 Series skeleton watches in the US

The Casio G-Shock Baby-G BGD565GC-2, BGD565GC-4, and BGD565GC-7 watches have been released in the US. These models have a translucent resin casing, bezel and strap, making them skeleton watches.

These new BGD-565 Series watches are shock resistant and water resistant to 100 m. Features include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer with a 24 hour range, and a multi functional alarm. There are also hourly time signals, flash alerts with a buzzer and a white LED backlight to help you to read the digital display at night. Users can choose between 12 or 24 hour time formats, with the watch said to remain accurate to within 15 seconds per month. These watches run on a CR1616 battery that is expected to last for three years before it needs replacing.

The BGD565GC-2 is blue, the BGD565GC-4 is pink, and the BGD565GC-2 is clear/silver. The first two models have a colored transparent strap, and each version has a glittery dial. The BGD-565 Series watches measure 42.1 x 37.9 x 11.3 mm (~1.7 x 1.5 x 0.4 inches) and weigh 30 g (~1.1 oz).

You can now buy the Casio G-Shock Baby-G BGD565GC-2, BGD565GC-4 and BGD565GC-7 watches in the US for $110 each. These products were also recently launched in European countries like Germany, where they retail for €99.90 each. Details of a UK launch have yet to be announced.
