Xgimi, best known for its projectors, has unveiled MemoMind, the company’s first foray into AI-powered glasses. The series includes two models, both featuring a display that projects information directly into the wearer’s field of view.

Xgimi has entered the growing market for AI-powered wearables with its MemoMind smart glasses. Two models have been announced so far: The Memo One features integrated speakers and a binocular display, whilst the Memo Air Display only comes with a monocular screen. Despite its pared-back specs, the latter can still project essential information, such as notifications, into the wearer’s field of view. The company also revealed a third model, designed to more closely resemble conventional spectacles, is in development. No further details have been shared, though one possibility is a display-free design.

Whilst initial specifications have been unveiled for the two smart glasses, key details such as resolution and field of view remain unconfirmed. The Memo One weighs 45 g (1.6 oz) and is priced at around $600 (€514). By comparison, the Memo Air Display is lighter at 29 g (1.0 oz) and should be slightly more affordable. Both models are expected to offer fairly similar features, including route guidance, real-time translation, and a teleprompter function. Xgimi also claims the smart glasses can harness AI to help take notes during meetings.

Exact launch timing hasn’t been disclosed, but preorders are expected to begin shortly. The devices will also support prescription lenses – most likely at an additional cost.
