The IKEA Kajplats E26 WS globe 450lm, Kajplats E26 WS globe 470lm and Kajplats E27 WS globe 470lm bulbs have appeared. These unreleased smart home products have been granted Zigbee 3.0 certification by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). They will join IKEA’s existing range of dimmable smart bulbs.

IKEA appears to be working on new smart light bulbs. Three Kajplats globe bulbs were recently spotted in the database of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). This body is responsible for the management and rollout of standards like Matter and Zigbee.

The three products which are now Zigbee 3.0 certified are the IKEA Kajplats E26 WS globe 450lm, the IKEA Kajplats E26 WS globe 470lm and the IKEA Kajplats E27 WS globe 470lm. The names of these products suggest that the bulbs will have a globe shape with E26 or E27 screw basesl. Depending on the model, they will offer either 450 lumens or 470 lumens brightness.

The database listings for these IKEA smart bulbs do not reveal other details about these upcoming products. It is unclear how they will differ from existing devices, like the Tradfri LED bulb E26 450 lumen, smart wireless dimmable/white spectrum globe. This model offers dimmable lighting with adjustable white tones between 2,200K and 4,000K. The light source is expected to run for 25,000 hours and, when connected to a Tradfri or Dirigera hub, can be remotely controlled via the IKEA Home smart app.

It is unclear when the IKEA Kajplats globe smart bulbs will launch or how much they will cost. As a guide, the older Tradfri LED bulb E26 450 lumen retails for $17.99.
