To mark its 16th anniversary, Reolink has unveiled the Elite Floodlight WiFi, a new security camera that combines surveillance and lighting in a single device. The special feature of the model is its seamless 180-degree panorama in 4K UHD resolution, which is achieved using dual image stitching technology. Here, the images from two lenses are stitched together in real time to create a seamless overall view, effectively eliminating blind spots.
The integrated floodlight reaches a brightness of 3000 lumens, with both brightness and color temperature (3000K to 6000K) adjustable. The lighting can be used in a number of ways: It can be activated by motion detection upon identification of people, vehicles or animals, follow a set schedule, or automatically turn on at dusk and off again at sunrise. To avoid false alarms, the camera uses AI-assisted detection. In the event of an alarm, a 105 dB siren and a personalized voice message can be triggered in addition to the light, while the user receives a notification on their smartphone.
The Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi is now widely available in Europe and the UK with a 20% discount. Interested buyers can select their country at the top right corner from the drop down menu that appears. Although not yet available in the US, where it has a price tag of $199.99, it is likely to arrive there very soon.
