Eufy has launched the S4 Max NVR Security System in Germany. This is the first European country to get this smart home or business security system following its release in the US earlier in 2025.
Anker Innovations, the company behind the eufy brand, describes the S4 Max as a “revolutionary surveillance system with a built-in AI agent”. The AI tool, named the EdgeAICore, is a Network Video Recorder (NVR) with a built-in graphics unit. This allows it to locally analyze videos, track the movement of objects and detect threats. As a cloud connection is not required, Anker suggests that is a relatively secure solution. There is 2 TB storage space, expandable up to 16 TB, and the company notes that there are no subscription costs for the basic configuration.
As its name suggests, this kit includes four eufy S4 Max cameras. Each is equipped with a 4K camera with a 122° field of view. Plus, each has a 360° rotating dual 2K camera with 8x zoom, allowing it to identify objects up to 50 m (~164ft) away. An optional Wi-Fi module will be released over the summer for those who want a wireless set-up. You can link up to 16 cameras to the NVR for extensive coverage of your property, with Live Cross Cam Tracking to monitor something moving between camera zones.
You can now pre-order the eufy S4 Max NVR Security System in Germany for €1,099 thanks to a €200 discount on the €1,299 RRP; this deal is expected to end on June 22nd. Whether or when this new eufy smart home product could reach other European countries remains to be seen.
