Xiaomi is rolling out an over-the-air (OTA) release to its Mijia Air Conditioner Pro series in China. Version 5.6.1 will be pushed to the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Human-Sense Top Air Vent, the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Healthy Wind and the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Super Power Saving series devices.
The Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Series update was announced in a recent Weibo post by Shan Lianyu, General Manager of the brand’s Home Appliances department. The release brings an update for the compressor algorithm for improved performance. There is an upgraded 6Hz frequency conversion algorithm, which is said to deliver more precise temperature controls and stable operation in all conditions.
There is also a new Air Management feature, for users who link their Xiaomi air conditioners to smart temperature sensors, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, fans and air purifiers. As such, when poor air quality is detected, all of the relevant smart home devices will switch on. Plus, the new Intelligent Airflow Linkage feature can be used to trigger a higher speed setting on a connected fan.
In the Weibo post, it is noted that this is a phased rollout. Users will be able to download the update via the Mi Home app under Settings > Software Update. Xiaomi has yet to launch the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro series products in markets like Europe, where it sells other smart home devices like the Smart Tower Fan 2.
