Xiaomi has listed the Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini on its global website, suggesting that it will soon launch in countries worldwide. It was released in China earlier in 2025 and is a compact version of the older Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3.
The Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini appears to have identical features to the original model. It can detect the temperature in your home between 0°C and 60°C (~32°F and 140°F), showing the value to 0.1°C (~0.2°F). The device can also detect the humidity level, within a range of 0-99% relative humidity (RH).
The smart home product supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 and is said to run for around three years on the pre-installed CR2450 battery. When connected to other smart home devices, it could be used to trigger a heater, air conditioner or dehumidifier when certain conditions are met. You can also view a data log in the Xiaomi Home app.
However, as its name suggests, the new model is more compact. The Mini version measures 53.0 x 45.3 x 13.0 mm (~2.1 x 1.8 x 0.5 inches) and weighs 30 g (~1.1 oz), and the original variant measures 79.6 x 70.2 x 14.5 mm (~3.1 x 2.8 x 0.6 inches) and weighs 72 g (~2.5 oz). Another difference is the maximum power, higher at 51 mW for the Mini. Plus, it does not come with a stand, unlike the regular Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3.
It is unclear when the Xiaomi Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitor 3 Mini will be launched globally. As a guide on its cost, in European countries like Germany, the Xiaomi Smart Temperature And Humidity Monitor 3 retails for €14.99.
