The SwitchBot Keypad Vision is now available to purchase globally. This smart home product, designed to work with the brand’s smart locks, was initially launched earlier in 2025 alongside the Lock Ultra.
Now, users of the SwitchBot Lock and SwitchBot Lock Pro can upgrade their set-up with the Keypad Vision, which is available to purchase separately. The accessory allows you to unlock your door using 3D facial recognition technology with a 0.0001% error rate and local data storage. According to SwitchBot, this “iPhone-grade” structured light technology can unlock your door in a second. Plus, the combination of infrared lighting and dual sensors enables the facial recognition to work in the dark.
Alternative methods for unlocking your door with the SwitchBot Keypad Vision include fingerprint recognition, password, NFC, voice commands, your smartphone or smartwatch, and a physical key. The company suggests that it will automatically trigger Night Mode for quiet locking, with under 20 dB noise. Plus, when connected to one of the brand’s hubs, you can remotely check the device’s status in the SwitchBot app or receive alerts for possible forced entry. The built-in battery is said to allow the device to run for a year, and it is rated as IP65 dust and water-resistant. The keypad measures 131 x 65 x 30 mm (~5.16 x 2.56 x 1.18 inches) and weighs 205 g (~7.23 oz).
You can buy the SwitchBot Keypad Vision for $99.99/£149.99/€149.99. It appears to be shipping immediately to customers in Europe, while those in the US can pre-order, with shipping due to begin in mid-June. In countries like Germany, the product can be purchased at the brand’s online store or at Amazon.
