In recent days, it is fair to say that the Honor Magic V5 and Galaxy Z Fold7 may have stolen some of the limelight from the Vivo X Fold5. Nonetheless, Vivo is pressing ahead by suggesting that its new foldable contains software capabilities that its rivals will lack.

Honor is attempting to disrupt the foldable market once again with a new ultra-thin and lightweight model. For context, the company has provided a hands-on look with two Magic V5 units before its full release on July 2. However, the Magic V5 is not the next entry in the world of book-style foldables.

Instead, Vivo will be bringing the X Fold5 to market in less than a week's time. Arriving on June 25, the X Fold5 should contain a few segment firsts of its own like it being the first foldable to ship with a configurable side button. Similarly, the X Fold5 should be the foldable to undercut the X Fold3 on weight, which remains the market leader for now at 219 g.

On top of that, the X Fold5 will be the only Android smartphone that natively supports products and services from Apple's ecosystem, including AirPods and Apple Watch smartwatches. To that end, the company has now shared new promotional videos in which the X Fold5 can be seen complimenting a MacBook Pro while being paired with AirPods and a Watch Ultra 2 (curr. $779 on Amazon).

As a result, Vivo considers the X Fold5 to be the perfect pairing for those who want a foldable but are embedded within the Apple ecosystem. Incidentally, the company has teased the X Fold5's camera capabilities too, which we have embedded above. At this stage, it remains to be seen whether Vivo plans to offer these new Apple-focused software features to its other smartphones by way of a future OriginOS update.
