Gigabyte has officially launched its first 280 Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor after showcasing it last month during Computex 2025 in Taipei. To recap, the MO27Q2A outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels across a 27-inch (26.5-inch) surface. Also, the monitor boasts 0.03 ms GtG response times, 250 nits full panel brightness and 1,000 nits (3% APL) when viewing HDR content.
In that sense, the MO27Q2A shares many of its features with the existing MO27Q2 (curr. $679.99 on Amazon). However, the former should deliver slightly smoother visuals than the latter at 280 Hz versus 240 Hz. With that being said, 360 Hz and 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitors already exist with 1440p native resolutions, like the Aorus FO27Q3 that debuted last year for $799.
Seemingly, Gigabyte hopes to distinguish the MO27Q2A from earlier 27-inch and 1440p QD-OLED gaming monitors on price. According to TFTCentral, Gigabyte previously suggested that the monitor would retail for $499 in the US. Unfortunately, the company has not confirmed that in its press release, nor is the MO27Q2A available to purchase yet from any retailers.
