Only a few days have passed since we reported on the MO32U, which serves as a new 32-inch and 4K option in Gigabyte's gaming monitor arsenal. For context, the company introduced the Aorus FO32U2 and Aorus FO32U2P earlier this year too, before moving onto the Aorus FO32U (curr. $949.99 on Amazon) over the summer.
Additionally, it has now updated its 27-inch roster with the MO27Q2. In short, the MO27Q2 appears to feature the same underlying QD-OLED panel sourced from Samsung Display as the Aorus FO27Q2. As such, the MO27Q2 outputs at 1440p (2,560 x 1,440) with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response times. Moreover, the panel is VESA ClearMR 1300 and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, which translates to 250 nits full panel brightness or 1,000 nits when viewing HDR content (APL 3%).

On top of that, the MO27Q2 offers 10-bit colour, 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 178°(H)/178°(V) viewing angles. Fundamentally, there is no difference between the FO27Q2 and MO27Q2 in this regard. Likewise, both monitors are △E ≤2 factory calibrated, contain a pair of 5 W speakers and feature the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 2x HDMI 2.1
- 2x USB 3.2 Type-A downstream
- 1x USB 3.2 Type-A upstream
- 1x USB Type-C (DP Alt Mode/Upstream/18 W Power Delivery)
However, Gigabyte has not included a dedicated 3.5 mm microphone jack, which is present in the FO27Q2. The MO27Q2 offers other features like a KVM switch and Gigabyte's usual array of gaming-focused software enhancements though, as well as an adjustable stand and 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts. According to ComputerBase, Gigabyte will begin selling the MO27Q2 in Q1 2025.
